An explosion killed two volunteer firefighters and injured another during a structure fire northwest of Britton, South Dakota on Thursday morning, according to a KSFY report.
Officials report that firefighter Jacob Waldner, 20, William Waldner, 22, fighting the fire from the top of the structure when an explosion collapsed both the top and south wall of the building killing both men. The injured firefighter, Jack Waldner, is the father of one of the men killed in the explosion. He was taken to Marshall County Health Care Center for treatment.
