Firefighters Respond to Prolonged North Chicago (IL) Extrication

Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to a motor vehicle accident in the city of North Chicago, Illinois. Fire photographer Tim Olk shared some photos from the scene.

The Chicago Tribune reported that it took crews more than an hour to remove an injured woman from her SUV after a crash with a dump truck. The victim was then airlifted by Flight for Life.

Libertyville, Knollwood, and Great Lakes fire departments assisted in the extrication operations, the report said.
