Firefighters battled a two-alarm structure fire in Brunswick, Maryland on August 10.

According to fire photographer Trevor James, firefighters had to contend with tight access to the scene, which was located near an overpass to Maryland Route 17. Purcellville Tower 2 manipulated their tower ladder under the overpass bridge and threaded it between power lines to get good access on side A. Carroll Manor Quint 14 took position in an alleyway on side C. Lines were laid between homes multiple blocks from the scene.

Units from Frederick, Loudoun, Jefferson County (WV), and Washington counties responded to this incident. One firefighter was injured and transported, according to WUSA9. The town of Brunswick is located on the Potomac River near the state lines of Virginia and West Virginia.

Reports indicate the fire had been intentionally set and was linked to a double homicide in the area.
