Fire crews battled a fire at a paper mill and recycling facility Wednesday in Des Moines.
At around 2 p.m. the Des Moines Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at Industrial Paper and Recycling, a paper mill located in the 2800 block of Dixon Street, WHO reports.
Firefighting continued for several hours in freezing temperatures as firefighters had to drag stacked cardboard from the building and wet it down.
Initial reports suggest a piece of machinery at the recycling facility is suspected of causing the fire.
