Crews arrived at the fire Friday at the Valley Green Apartment Complex at 25 Morrison Avenue to find a hectic scene with multiple people fleeing the apartment building.

Within minutes, while firefighters were making a search of the inside of the structure for the apartment that was on fire, conditions changed rapidly with heavy fire extending throughout the cockloft of the structure. Crews rescued one person and a cat.
