Firefighters Respond to Two-Alarm Oxford (CT) House Fire

Fire photographer and videographer Keith Muratori shared some video from the scene of a second-alarm house fire over the weekend in Oxford, Connecticut.

At approximately 7:44pm on February 3, 2023, the Oxford Fire Department was dispatched to Jensen Farm Road for a reported house fire. First companies arriving on scene found a raging, wind-driven fire in a two-story private dwelling. Members would deal with temps in the single digits (6°F not factoring in windchill), causing frozen hydrants and signficant water supply issues. Additionally, heavy wind compounded the night’s difficulties.

The fire would escalate to two alarms, bringing multiple mutual aid departments to the scene as well as for station coverage during the incident. Luckily, the family of four that resides at this structure was not at home at the time of the fire.
