Firefighter training drill by Forest Reeder
To help you kick-start your calendar of training events, Fire Engineering presents 75 Company Level “Quick Drills” that you can use to improve the basic skill sets of your members. This edition complements the 1st edition of the Company Quick Drills and expands on the basic core skills featured in that edition. A sample template for placing your department’s procedures and information to be covered in the drill is also attached to the skill sheet and is available in Word format for you to download HERE. Make sure you reference your local SOP/SOG and applicable safety practices in each drill, always conduct these and all training in assigned PPE. Good luck in planning the training calendar for next year and train as if your life depends on it!
