Fischer Appointed

Wayne A. Fischer has been appointed chief of the Cedarburg, Wis. Fire Department, where he has been a member since 1955. He has served as assistant chief and chief engineer.

Fischer is succeeding Chief William H. Anderson, who is retiring after 29 years with the department. Anderson worked his way through the ranks from first lieutenant to captain of the rescue company, chief engineer, first assistant chief, chief training officer and chief in 1978.
