FL Fire Captain Dies After Suffering Cardiac Arrest

The U.S. Fire Administration reported on the death of a Jacksonville (FL) Fire and Rescue firefighter who from cardiac arrest after a call.

On Sunday, June, 13, 2021, Captain Thomas M. Barber responded to a medical call at a residence. Early the next morning on Monday, June 14, 2021, Captain Barber went into cardiac arrest at his home. He was rushed to the hospital where he passed away shortly after arrival.

Captain Barber was 51 years old.
