FL Fire Captain Dies of COVID-19

A fire captain with the Ocean City-Wright (FL) Fire Control District in Fort Walton Beach has passed away after contracting the coronavirus while on the job, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

Captain Lloyd Losinger, 60, while performing fire inspections, contracted COVID-19. He passed away from the virus on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.

Captain Losinger had 31 years of service.
