Forest Service Firefighter Struck and Killed in NJ

A New Jersey state Forest Fire Service firefighter was struck and killed today during a controlled burn operation.

The incident occurred near Round Valley Reservoir, and heavy smoke limiting visibility may have been a factor in the accident, a NJ.com report said (http://bit.ly/16kzMub).

The man was struck by a vehicle late this morning and did not survive his injuries. Few other details were immediately available.
