Mayday, Firefighter Injured Battling Frankfort (IN) Structure Fire

A firefighter was injured yesterday while battling a structure fire in downtown Frankfort, Indiana.

According to reports, a Mayday was declared on the fireground and the injured member was extracted and transported. The injured member, a veteran firefighter, was reportedly treated and returned home.

“The fire got up into the third floor, actually the second floor of the building that is on fire, and it kind of got a away from us”  Frankfort Fire Chief John Kirby told reporters from WISH.
