Gas Line Rupture Ignites Multihome Fire in IL

According to a report from FOX2NOW, a home is gutted and two others were heavily damaged after an intense two-alarm fire overnight in Cahokia Heights, Illinois.

The Cahokia Heights Fire Department (CHFD) responded to the incident when a gas main ruptured between three homes at around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. Flames were still burning on Doris Avenue, near Cahokia High School.

The CHFD also helped occupants in the neighboring homes escape.
