Fire Damages Glen Rock (NJ) Church Building

No one was injured in a Tuesday afternoon fire at on the grounds of St. Catharine Church in Glen Rock, New Jersey, according to a report.

The building, which is not attached to the church or its school, Academy of Our Lady, was badly damaged by the fire, according to The Record.

All children and faculty at the school were ordered to shelter in place, while those in the wing closest to the fire were taken into the church on the other side of the property, the report said.

Firefighters from Ho-Ho-Kus, Fair Lawn, and Hawthorne assisted in extinguishing the fire, which appeared to have started in a utility room in the building.
