Guinness stated in their letter to Bob, “The largest collection of official fireman’s patches consists of 8,158 and belongs to Bob Brooks (USA), who has been collecting the patches since 1985. The entire collection of patches was displayed at the Albany Fire Department, Albany, Oregon, USA on 22 June 2011”.

Bob is still collecting patches and has acquired approximately 400 more since the Guinness World Record attempt on June 22nd. His goal is to have a patch from every Fire Department in the United States.
