High-Rise Fire Safety

The National Fire Protection Association reports there are more than 13,000 structure fires in high-rise buildings each year in the United States. Before You Go Up is a new public education DVD that shows how to prepare for and survive a fire in a multi-story building. Former state fire marshals, Ronny Coleman and Jim McMullen, are featured in the 12-minute program along with public educators, Jerry DiMillo, Don Porth and Nancy Karl.

The DVD is divided into special segments covering apartment buildings, hotels and motels, student housing, and office buildings. The program includes a variety of reproducible teaching materials to assist with group training.
