Houston Firefighter Charged After Allegedly Threatening to Shoot Everyone at His Fire Station

A Houston firefighter has been charged after allegedly threatening to shoot or kill everyone at his fire station in north Houston, reports KHOU (http://bit.ly/QGpNfM).

Scott Niles, 36, was charged with making a terroristic threat.

An engineer at Station 64 told investigators that on April 29, Niles told him he was “going to start shooting people and was trying to figure out who he was going to take out first.” The engineer said he believed Niles was serious and feared for his own safety, and the safety of his fellow firefighters.

Another employee at the station allegedly heard the same thing.

A firefighter said after hearing Niles say he was going to shoot everyone, he asked if that included him as well. The firefighter said Niles did not respond, so it led him to believe that he wanted to harm them all.
