A warehouse shed owned by New Dominion Construction in Findlay Township burned to the ground Saturday night, reports CBS Pittsburgh (http://cbsloc.al/1GSs28s)
Multiple tankers were called to the scene because there wasn’t a fire hydrant nearby.
In all, around 100 firefighters from multiple fire departments battled the fire on Potato Garden Run. Around 10 tanker trucks from multiple counties made putting out the flames possible.
“We called additional companies in for water supply. This area was not equipped with hydrants. The closest one is probably three miles away,” Imperial Volunteer Fire Chief Bob Bradburn said.
The fire chief says New Dominion Construction owns the building that burned to the ground. It’s a company that does construction for gas lines in the area.
An official from the company was on scene and told the chief two service trucks and multiple tools were inside.
