Hundreds of Firefighters Battle Massive Paterson (NJ) Fire

Ten hours after the initial call, firefighters battled a huge fire in a factory building in Paterson, New Jersey.

A report on northjersey.com (http://bit.ly/1bukrZv) indicated that bitter cold was making it difficult for firefighters to extinguish the flames at the three-story structure.

Fire companies from Bergen, Essex, Passaic, and Morris counties were called in to assist the Paterson Fire Department, whose 12 units were all on the scene.

Exhausted firefighters were taking refuge inside a nearby grocery store where a station was set up for them to keep warm. Icicles covered nearby power lines and street signs.
