Huntersville (NC) Fire Department Pulls Pinned Driver from Vehicle After Crash

According to a report from WCNC, the Huntersville Fire Department (HFD) rescued a pinned driver after a severe crash early Wednesday morning along Hambright Road near Statesville Road.

The HFD responded to the crash, which happened just after 2 a.m. HFD crews arrived to find the front end of the car totaled after hitting a tree. The department noted that crews worked quickly to remove the driver.

The HFD said they freed the patient within 15 minutes and were cleared by 2:35 a.m. Crews returned to the scene just before 5:10 a.m. to clear the roadway for police.

A Medic later said the driver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
