Hurst Jaws of Life enters third year of sponsorship for Firefighter Combat Challenge

Hurst Jaws of Life® and On Target Challenge, Inc. announced a sponsorship agreement for the national series of the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge. Hurst is entering their third year of sponsorship. According to On Target, the owner of the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge, the series targets over 483,000 firefighters with 32 events nationwide.

The Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge brings together hundreds of firefighters from throughout the nation to compete in what is known as “the toughest two minutes in sports.” The five-event obstacle course tests firefighter’s fitness level, agility, and heart. This event celebrates the excellence of America’s beloved heroes. The series will begin on April 18 in Miami Township, Ohio, and concludes in November with the World Challenge. Hurst will participate with displays and materials at the events. Event and Web site branding is also a part of the sponsorship.

The sponsorship for Hurst includes participation and equipment demonstrations at all nationwide events as well as branding on the competitors finalist flags. The flags are awarded to top performing teams and include the Hurst Jaws of Life logo. New for 2009 will be hazardous materials tents in use by the challenge which are made by Vetter® a sister company of Hurst, Jaws of Life. Hazardous material and decontamination tents are used by fire and rescue departments in the event of a hazardous material spill or leak.
