A Shelby (IA) firefighter was killed while directing traffic at a motor vehicle accident scene on Interstate 80. The firefighter was identified as Michael Collins, 41.
Iowa State Patrol officials said Collins was struck by a car around 6:50 p.m. Sunday at the scene as earlier crash on Interstate 80.
