IAFC Foundation awards scholarships

The International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation awarded $21,000 in scholarships to 21 emergency personnel from around the country. Top awards of $2,000 each went to Charles McMillan of Denver, CO; Dean Staberg of Lincoln, NE; and Diane Collins of Port Jefferson, NY. Recipients of $1,000 awards were Ron Benedict of College Park, MD; Jeffrey Grote of Kansas City, MO; Matthew Hartnett of Woodbridge, VA; Brett Hawk of San Angelo, TX; Bill Low of Fayetteville, GA; Tim Mosher of Lima, OH; Anthony Padilla of San Angelo, TX; James Poltrock of Salem, WI; Scarlett Kelli of Furlong, PA; William Schultz of Homewood, IL; Dave Slivinski of Lemont, IL; Michael Wallace of Blue Springs, MO; and Martin Welsh of Wyomissing, PA. The following received $500 awards: Tracy Donohue of Algonquin, IL; Kandace Mick of West Palm Beach, FL; Jeffrey Pindelski of Worth, IL; and Coris David Throckmorton of Richmond, VA. In addition, $500 was awarded to Explorer Scout Jody Allen Farnham of Glastonbury, CT.
