Pittsburgh (ID) – The Pittsburg Fire, burning within the Hells Canyon National Recreation area, is now at 60 percent containment.
The fire, which was caused by lightning, began more than a week ago and has burned 8,000 acres and caused six injuries. However, crews are cautiously optimistic at this time as good progress was made over the weekend strengthening fire-lines.
