Illinois Inspection Bureaus Merge

Merger of the Cook County and Illinois Inspection Bureaus into a new body known as the Illinois Inspection and Rating Bureau became effective April 1. The new organization will maintain a central office at 175 West Jackson Boulevard. Branch offices are located in Belleville, Peoria, Rockford and Springfield.

E. F. Reske, manager of the Cook County Inspection Bureau has been appointed manager of the new organization. He was appointed chief engineer of the Cook County Inspection Bureau at its formation in 1942, was named assistant manager in 1943, and has directed the bureau as manager since 1944.

R. O. Matson, manager of the Illinois Inspection Bureau since 1957, has announced his retirement. He has been associated with the Illinois Inspection Bureau since 1930, when he was appointed assistant manager.
