IN Firefighters Respond to Grain Bin Fire, Collapse

According to a report from WISHTV,  a large grain bin in Delphi, Indiana, caught fire and collapsed in separate incidents on Monday.

The Delphi Fire Department (DFD) received the call for the incident at around 6:40 a.m. Monday for The Anderson’s Delphi Grain Elevator at 3854 North Anderson Drive, off State Road 25.

Multiple area fire departments discovered fires in a large filter cannister, its conveyors, and a connected storage bin. It took firefighters around three hours to extinguish the flames. However, at around 2:30 p.m., the DFD and Camden Fire Department returned to the scene when a grain bin collapsed.

The DFD posted photos to social media showing the collapsed bin as well as a truck onto which it had toppled.

No injuries have been reported.
