Georgia Firefighters Fell More Than 40 Feet in Training Accident
Will Griffin, a Hall County firefighter injured during a training exercise with Stephen Jackson and TJ Elliott, was originally taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center by ambulance after the incident. On Friday, Griffin was discharged from the medical center and taken to the Atlanta-based Shepherd Center spinal cord injury unit.
Griffin “began a rigorous rehabilitation program under the guidance of a full team of medical and rehabilitation specialists,” the Shepherd Center wrote in a statement.
No further information was available from Grady Memorial Hospital officials on the status of Jackson or Elliott, who were taken to Grady from the incident scene.
