Jacksonville (FL) Fire and Rescue Adds Three Therapy Dogs to Department

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department has added three therapy dogs to the department’s roster to help first responders deal with some of the trauma they experience on the job.

Injured colleagues, suicides, and other types of mayhem take their toll on firefighter’s mental health, News4Jax reports.

Therapy dogs provide comfort in the moments after a difficult call.

The dogs were donated by the group Canine’s For Warriors.
