A medical helicopter crashed Thursday in Manchester, Kentucky, killing all three crew members aboard.
The crash occurred at 11:16 p.m. the parking lot of an elementary school, according to an Associated Press news report (). Witnesses reported heavy fog at the time, but weather forecasters said there was no inclement weather.
There was no patient aboard. The victims were part of Air Evac Lifeteam. Federal air safety officials planned to investigate the accident.
The deaths come on the heels of an ambulance crash in Georgia that killed three people, including a patient.
