Live-Stream Presentation by IFSI Director

Royal Mortenson, director for the Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) will make a presentation on April 17 that will be live streamed. “Leading when it counts: Are you, and your department, ready for your Super Bowl?” is the title for Mortenson’s dynamic presentation that talks about preparing yourself and your firefighters for the demands of a crisis – your “Super Bowl” – the most important day of your professional life. He will deliver his presentation at 1:30 pm on April 17, 2014 from Elmhurst, Ill.

The presentation will be available on-line the day of the event on the IFSI web site or through the following link: http://new.livestream.com/ecrc/dfca.

The DuPage County Fire Chiefs’ Association is sponsoring the event at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church at 149 W. Brush Hill Road in Elmhurst. The event is scheduled for 1:30 to 3:30 pm. The Illinois Fire Service Institute is the statutory State Fire Academy for Illinois. In addition to training provided at its Champaign campus, the Institute offers one-day hands-on classes for fire departments at Regional Training Centers and local fire stations across the State. The mission of the Illinois Fire Service Institute is to help firefighters do their work through training, education, information and research.
