Louisiana Firefighter Handcuffed by Police Officer at Emergency Scene

A New Roads (LA) police officer handcuffed and detained a volunteer firefighter Monday night during an emergency.

WBRZ reported (http://bit.ly/1haDBJF) that firefighter refusing to move his fire truck because he was rendering aid to a patient.

The firefighter arrived on scene first, followed by paramedics and the police. At least part of the scene was captured on surveillance video. An onlooker claims that the moment the New Roads officer showed up, he demanded that the volunteer firefighter move his truck from the street.

When the firefighter did not comply, the officer handcuffed him and detained him the back of a police car.
