The person of interest in the Misty Oaks Apartments fire that killed a woman and her two nephews turned himself in to authorities Wednesday night, reports The Orlando Sentinel.
LaRunne Richardson, 40, faces three counts of first-degree murder. He is being held in Orange County Jail.
He was named a person of interest on April 2 — three weeks after the fatal fire at the Pine Hills apartment complex.
Richardson initially cooperated with Orange County deputies, but eventually disappeared, deputies said.
Carllans Fils-Aime, 29, and her two nephews — Jacque Gustave, 8, and Samuel Gustave, 6, — were found on March 11 inside a charred one-bedroom apartment at Misty Oaks in Pine Hills.
A State Fire Marshal investigation determined an accelerant was used to start the fire.
Richardson, a friend of Fils-Aime, was in the home at the time of the fire and suffered from smoke inhalation. He managed to get out and call 911.
