Marinucci appointed USFA/NFA senior advisor

James Lee Witt, director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, has appointed Rich Marinucci, chief of the Farmington Hills (MI) Fire Department and former International Association of Fire Chiefs president, a senior advisor to the U.S. Fire Administration and the National Fire Academy. The move, in response to the fire service community`s Blue Ribbon Panel report, was made to help ensure that the fire service and the USFA will work closely to address the fire issues of the 21st century, according to Witt. Marinucci will participate in a USFA/NFA management review, development of USFA`s future major programs, USFA funding and resource management plans, and the integration of fire issues into FEMA`s ongoing strategic planning process.
