Mayday, Chicago Firefighter Seriously Injured

A firefighter with the Chicago (IL) Fire Department was seriously injured Sunday responding to a fire in the city’s North Austin neighborhood, according to reports.

On Twitter, the department reported that a Mayday was declared during the incident at 1225 N. Laverne and a firefighter in his thirties suffered a serious injury. The member was reportedly transported in serious to critical condition.
