Mayday, At Least Two Dead, Several Injured including Firefighter in Louisville (KY) Fire

Two people were killed and five people injured, including a firefighter, during a large fire early this morning in Louisville, Kentucky.

A PIO told WHAS 11 that the fire at a house in the 1100 block of South 2nd Street started on the second floor and spread to the third floor.

WHAS reported that a witness said that she saw two people jump from the building just before it erupted into flames. The building has partially collapsed, according to reports, and WHAS says there may be others inside the structure.

Alertpage reported that a Mayday was declared on the fireground. The injured firefighter is expected to be released, accoridng to WHAS.
