The Anne Arundel County (MD) Fire Department has released a report on a recent residential fire that killed a woman in the Gambrills area of the county.
As reported on Eye on Annapolis (http://bit.ly/UneTa8), Anne Arundel County firefighters were dispatched at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to a reported dwelling fire in the 1300 block of Tenbrook Road. The first unit to arrive on the scene reported visible smoke and fire coming from one of the residences located within a two-story, duplex-type dwelling.
At this time,first-arriving crews gained entry into the dwelling and began fire suppression and search/rescue operation. Within minutes, firefighters were able to locate a female occupant on the first floor of the dwelling. The victim was found to be unconscious and unresponsive. She was quickly removed from the dwelling and assessed by fire department paramedics at the scene. Medics determined the victim suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
