Firefighter Dies After 4-Alarm MD Fire Flashes Over

Lutherville (MD) Volunteer Fire Company Firefighter Mark Falkenhan, a 43=year-old father of two, died at a hospital after a flashover at a four-alarm apartment fire in the Parkville area of Baltimore County, Maryland, on Wednesday night.

Firefighters had rescued a woman and were searching for more possible survivors on the second and third floors when a flashover occurred, the chief said. Falkenhan’s partner escaped through a window. Two other people were injured.
