MD Sisters Killed in NY Vacation Home Fire



According to a report from The NY Post, Jillian Wiener, 21, and her sister Lindsay, 19, of Potomac, Maryland, died after a fire swept through their Noyack Bay vacation home in Southampton, New York, early Wednesday morning.

The Wiener family was asleep when the fire erupted at around 3:30 a.m. The father, Lewis, awoke to the sounds glass breaking glass. He then attempted tried to get his wife and children out of the house. However, his daughters became trapped in an upstairs bedroom.

The father reportedly attempted to reenter the home but could not get through the intense flames.

Southampton police officials were not immediately available for comment.

The fire does not appear suspicious, according to law enforcement sources. The cause of the incident is now under investigation.
