Yarnell (AZ) — Tuesday will offer the first media access to the area outside Yarnell, around 80 miles northwest of Phoenix, where 19 members of the Presscott-based Granite Mountain Hotshots died June 30.
Video, photo, and journalist observations will soon be available at the site where the firefighters died while fighting an Arizona wildfire.
The firefighters were killed when the wind-fueled, out-of-control fire overran them as they tried to protect the former gold-mining town from the inferno. One member of the crew who was serving as a lookout survived.
