Ian Kushnir shared some photos of firefighters responding to a recent scrap yard fire in Melvindale, Michigan.

Dearborn (MI) fire department battled the large scrap fire on June 4, 2018, and companies encountered poor water pressure and access difficulties on scene. Crews laid thousands of feet of 5-inch line to the street back to the yard.

Once good water was established, the use of Dearborns Foam Trailer and the master stream off the quint and handlines got the job done. Scrap yard employees also helped dig out the fire with large excavators.
