Memorial dedicated at 25th anniversary of Boston`s Hotel Vendome fire

The dedication of a new 29-foot, semicircular granite monument was a highlight of the ceremony that marked the 25th anniversary of the Hotel Vendome fire that killed nine Boston firefighters. They died when the hotel collapsed during overhaul operations. A member of each firefighter`s family participated in the unveiling of the monument, which includes the names of the firefighters.
