MERIDIAN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES, INC. has formed a new business unit called MERIDIAN DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS. The new unit will focus on civil defense needs for nerve agent antidote autoinjectors to support municipal and state antiterrorist programs. Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, Meridian produces nerve agent antidote autoinjectors for the U.S. De-partment of Defense, and for self-injection of medications for patients with seizure disorders, allergic reactions, pain, and cardiac arrhythmias.
