MI Firefighters Rescue Six From Burning Home

Firefighters rescued an infant, two toddlers, and three women from the second-floor porch of a burning home in Hamtramck early Monday.

The Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/LsKjZg) reports that crews responding to reports of a garage fire arrived on scene at around 3:30 a.m. to find fire engulfing the back of the structure, as well.

Occupants could not escape because fire had engulfed the interior stairs. The victims were located on the second-floor porch of the home. Firefighters accessed them via a ground ladder and removed them.

No one was injured during the incident.
