With high winds reaching 60ph at times, the Dearborn Heights (MI) Fire Department battled multiple structure fires and brush fires with lines down.

Around 10:30 am. on the 4600 block of Campbell, crews responded to a working house fire and made a quick knock down. Later that afternoon, firefighters contended with a garage/brush fire on North Evangeline. Crews had to work around a trench for a basement, partially unsupported driveway, and power lines. The home in this event was under construction on a lot with an older garage still on site.
Dearborn (MI) fire department companies responded to multiple calls for lines down, possible structure fires, and working structure fires. The high winds wreaked havoc on the city. Incidents pictured include a Melvindale garage fire on Henry Street, structure at Ford and Wyoming (construction trailer), and a house fire on Argyle and Colson. Firefighters also dealt with a fence fire with brush at Rosalie and Hubbard. Dearborn also made mutual aid runs to Dearborn Heights and Detroit, Engines 1 and 2 checked for fire in Detroit’s second battalion. Great job by all crews, police, and dispatch.
