Miami-Dade Fire Chief Makes Good on NBA Finals Wager

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Dave Downey made good on a Spurs-Heat NBA Finals wager he made with San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood back in June, reports ken5.com (http://bit.ly/TOOGYd).

Because the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Finals, Chief Downey, along with his fire crew, had to wear SAFD shirts, as well as fly a Spurs flag outside of the station for the day Monday.

Chief Downey sent a picture as proof that he had made good on the bet.

Chief Downey also made a $500 donation to the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation, which was an addition to the previous year’s Finals bet that Chief Hood lost.
