Michigan Fights Arson
In recent months, two additional arson strike force teams have been implemented within the fire marshal division of the Michigan State Police. Both Northville and Flint, Mich. have a team consisting of one lieutenant and three sergeants. An additional sergeant has been added to the Grand Rapids team.
The teams are trained to do followup investigations involving arson-related fires. This state-wide strike force has been in existence since 1978.
