A Milwaukee (WI) firefighter was punched while trying to assist a patient at the scene of a vigil Saturday, according to news reports.

WDJT reported that fire crews arrived at 60th and Capitol to treat the patient, who was at a vigil for a motorcycle victim. Police said the crowd wouldn’t back up to give crews room to work and people started yelling.

According to the report, someone grabbed a firefighter away from the patient and punched him in the face. The firefighter reportedly suffered minor injuries.

In July, a Milwaukee firefighter was grazed by a bullet while responding to an EMS call.
