Five University City (MO) firefighters were suspended without pay for the next three months for posing for photos with political candidates, which is forbidden by law.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/QMdRJz) reported that a sixth firefighter involved in the case may also face suspension.

City Manager Lehman Walker told the firefighters after the April 8 municipal elections that they were being investigated. Though the firefighters can keep their jobs, they were angry about the suspensions.
The firefighters apparently appeared in uniform alongside the candidates in campaign literature.
