MN Firefighters Rescue Two from Three-Alarm Apartment Fire

According to a report from KARE, the Loretto (MN) Fire Department (LFD) pulled two residents from the third floor of a burning apartment building on Loretto and Medina Streets early Tuesday morning.

LFD officials said no injuries have been reported, but the building’s first and second floors suffered extensive damage.

LFD Chief Jeff Leuer said the building contained five units, all of which were occupied on arrival.

Leuer said they were called to the building at around 2 a.m. LFD crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the basement, where it was determined the fire originated. Leuer also said the cause of the incident has not yet been determined.
