Minnetonka (MN) firefighters rescued a woman from a house fire early Saturday morning, October 7, 2023, according to a release from the deparrtment.
Dispatchers received a call prior to 6:30 a.m. about smoke in a home in the 17000 block of Saddlewood Lane. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a working fire.

Neighbors alerted firefighters and police that a woman was likely still in the home. They located her at the bottom of a staircase and handed her over to Hennepin County Medical Center paramedics; the injured patient was transported to Minneapolis, and no further details on her condition were available.
The fire itself was contained to the primary residence, with some smoke and water damage to an adjoining unit. The Minnetonka Fire Department was assisted by several agencies, including the Hopkins, Wayzata, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, and Chanhassen fire departments. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
